Thinking about starting up a game that picks up on the plot thread of Ardos rebuilding Cipher, as I'm pretty much sick of waiting on GameFreak ever doing it or fear that it would never happen, especially as Colosseum and XD are some of my favorite Pokémon entries.
I'd see a big part of the game being about trying to open up and bond with the Shadows that the team captures, with lots of Roleplay on that end. The other major part would be, obviously, hunting down Cipher.
Other thoughts include upping the stakes by introducing some new aspect to Shadow Pokémon to make them more dangerous, like how from Colosseum to XD more Shadow moves were developed so that Shadow Pokémon could have more combat potential. Possibly some form of Shadow Megas?
I am scared of it being a little too ambitious for my skill level, having little GM experience or PTU experience, but perhaps my frankly frightening knowledge of Pokémon will help counterbalance that. Also, checking for interest, so please sound off if it interests you at all. Replies give me power... and encouragement, but mostly power.

Certainly sounds interesting, and campaigns that involve a fair whack of legwork/investigation get my little Shadowrunner heart beating all aflutter. So colour me interested.

I wanted to run a Shadow-Pokemon Campaign for awhile now anyway, so I'll help out.

Extra thoughts. I'd think it'd be a 2-3 player game just for the sake of cohesion. I can think of a number of combinations of roles, including simply patterning off of Wes and Rui with the Rui equivalent having a larger combat role, but still having a clear Snagger and a Seer.
Not set in stone, but the game would have an emphasis on catching, and the need to identify Shadows.
Also, quick draft of how Purification works, please critique and point out problems.
Shadow Pokémon have 60 "Shadow" Points on capture. Whenever a Shadow Pokémon uses a Shadow Move, roll a d6 and if it is higher than Shadow Points/10, it enters Hyper/Reverse mode, with the normal in-game effects and methods of clearing. When a Shadow Pokémon has 10 Shadow Points, it can be purified.
The idea was to keep the 5-section bar mechanic while also adding the Hyper/Reverse mode being more common the closer you are to purified without having it activate every single time during the last bit.
